Hurricanes' 2014-15 Season Begins!

The Hampton Hurricanes kicked off the new season this weekend with games against Moncton and Shediac.

The Hurricanes started their season on the road losing 4 – 1 the Moncton Vito’s . After a scoreless first the Vito’s took a 2 – 1 lead to finish the second period and added 2 more in the third for the win . Moncton had 5 different goal scores , Thomas Rice had the lone Hampton goal . Matt Ingraham stopped 40 shots while Vito Jeremy Gallant stopped 17 for the win .
On Sat night for their home opener the Hurricanes faced off against the visiting Hotel Shediac Predators . Hampton’s Chris Forbes assisted by Evan LeBlanc scored late in the first giving the Hurricanes the lead after one period of play.
After the start of the second period it was the Predators who were putting the numbers on the clock . Five different Predators found the net scoring twice in the second and adding three more in the third for a 5 – 1 lead before Thomas Rice scored Hampton’s second goal making it a 5-2 win for the Predators.
Shediac’s Maxime Michaud picked up the win turning away 31 shots for the win , Hampton’ s Matt Ingraham stopped 37 shots for the loss
The Hurricanes next game will be at the Hampton Community  Center Sat Oct 10 when they host the Fundy Cobra’s . Game Time 8:15
