Hurricanes Win One of Three

The Hampton Hurricanes were only able to come up with one win out of a three game weekend in NBJHL action .

On Friday night on the road they dropped a 4 – 2 decision to the league leading Kent Koyotes . After a scoreless first the Koyotes scored three straight before Hampton’s Matt Porter took a cross ice pass to put the Canes on the board .
Three minutes into the third Chris Forbes found Brad Hooper heading to the net to cut the lead to one . With both teams having their chances the Koyotes scored with2:04 remaining in the final frame for the win
Back on home ice Sat night the Hurricanes posted a 5 – 1 win over the visiting Tri County River Cats . Once again after a scoreless first the goals started coming in the second with Hampton taking control scoring four straight . Brendan Crawford connect with Thomas Rice and Matt Porter , than Brad Hooper scored his natural hat trick with Evan LeBlanc assisting on the first two and the third unassisted .
Matt Porter assisted by Joe Donelle gave the Hurricanes a five goal advantage midway through the third . With 3:46 left to play River Cat Mack Young scored unassisted to break the Hampton shut-out .
Matt Ingraham earned the win stopping 24 shots . Alex Miller took the loss facing 35 shots .
On Sunday the Hurricanes faced off against the Grand Lake Moose and suffered a 7 – 4  road loss .
Hampton’s next game is Saturday December 20th at the Hampton Community Center when they host the Fredericton Caps . Game Time 8:15
