Most teams take advantage of home ice but not the Hampton Hurricanes or the Hotel Shediac Predators as they started their first round Best of Five this weekend. In Shediac on Friday night the Hurricanes took a one game lead in the series after defeating the home town Predators 6 – 3. Returning to Hampton for game one on Saturday night, Shediac tied the game in the third to force O/T and came away with a 5 – 4 road win tieing the series at one a piece .
Play resumes next weekend in Shediac on Friday night with Game Four in Hamptonon Saturday night.
